BIOMASS
Biomass is a term used to describe fuel derived from organic material of recent origin, rather than fossil fuel that has that has taken millions of years to develop.
Biomass fuel is usually derived from trees and crops but can be sourced from industrial waste.
Carbon is absorbed while it is growing which therefore cancels out any carbon produced by burning it.
With a programme of continual planting and harvesting a carbon dioxide balance can be maintained.
Wood pellets and logs are the most common form of biomass fuel with various applications including fires, boilers and cookers to provide extremely efficient heat.
WOOD PELLET STOVES
Pellet burning stoves have at last come into their own with good looking appliances and levels of efficiency that ordinary woodburners can only dream of. Woodburner pellet stoves have huge burn times from a single loading, lighting at the touch of a button, programmable settings for turning itself on & off. Pellet burning stoves also have a remote control operation and all from a very low carbon fuel source.
