Did you know that where the maintenance and upkeep of gas within a commercial property is concerned an employer has certain legal responsibilities?

It is stated in the Gas Regulations that:

"It shall be the duty of every employer or self-employed person to ensure that any gas appliance, installation pipework or flue installed at any place of work his control is maintained in a safe condition so as to prevent risk of injury to any person"

It is not possible for any company you employ to remove these responsibilities from you, however J.D. Lane & Sons can implement a maintenance programme for you that will ensure that you comply with them.

Just because a company is Gas Safe registered it does not mean it is able to work on all aspects of gas! It can only work on the sectors of gas its employees have been trained in and deemed competent to work with, Commercial Gas pipe work and appliances are one of these sectors, and  specific accreditation is required. To check the sectors that a company is accredited to work on you can visit the Gas Safe website.
